The Political Science Association (PSA) of FAC, MKG recently organized a Tarun Sabha at the college auditorium. The event marked the first youth parliament under the aegis of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, and was also organized by the Political Science Association FAC.
During his welcome speech, Dr E Benrithung Patton, HOD, Political Science stated the aim of the first youth parliament, which is to promote civic engagement and empower youths by providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary for a deep understanding of parliamentary affairs.
Shri Tsukjemwati, the General Secretary of the BJP Mkg unit, also delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of both theoretical and practical experience in parliamentary affairs.
The event witnessed the participation of 50 political science honours students, who played the roles of ruling MPs, MPs from the opposition, foreign delegations, and marshals. Additionally, students and faculty from JMC, JMS, MHSS, and Shisajen Riju were also present at the event.
